Our Mission
The mission of Tac 7 Pipe Gear is to provide pipers and drummers with “heritage” quality products made in America at better prices while supporting military families and the communities of our customers. We want our products to be handed down to generations with your pipes and drums – Aaron and Caleb Lankford
How this happened
– In 2019 I visited a bagpipe maker in Scotland. Their Chinese supplier was there talking about pipe cases. The supplier did not know I speak Chinese and have 20 years of experience manufacturing in Asia.
I was surprised by the prices and costs they discussed. I was also disappointed by the high mark up passed to pipers and drummers.
I made it a point to create alternatives at better cost.
The first pipe case was made oversized. It was huge and costs were high. I stopped work on the project.
Caleb took the pack with him to the Navy. Other sailors called it his “big ass pack”
When Caleb got out of the Navy, he suggested we jump back on this and try to make something better – here we are.
